There were 49 applicants for the current edition of the INNOCHEM. Ultimately, 27 projects have been evaluated positively and qualified for funding.

Funded project implies to complete research and development work for creation  and implementation of biodegradable anti-caking agents for fertilizers based on vegetable origin raw materials. The project, which is divided into five stages, includes industrial research and development work  leading to a finished product ready for commercial implementation, which will be verified qualitatively and operationally by ORLEN Południe and selected key customers. The expected completion date of the project is February 2019.

ORLEN Południe plans to implement  a line of products with high biodegradability, which are  both price and quality competitive to currently available anti-craking additives produced from petroleum  fractions used in the fertilizer industry nowadays. For ORLEN Południe, which is currently implementing  a  typical  anti-craking agent based on petroleum raw materials, an introduction of a new anti-craking agent  will broaden the portfolio in this segment of the market.
