One of the instruments contributing to the Company’s competitive advantage is the high quality of products and services, confirmed by quality certificates issued with the product as part of each shipment (laboratory supervising the quality of exported products).
We have been conducting and developing our business activity in harmony with the natural environment and the community. We want to guarantee the safety of our activity to both our employees, and to all persons staying within company premises and in its vicinity.

Management Systems
The mission of ORLEN Południe S.A. is to ensure that the needs and requirements of our Customers are met, that they are fully satisfied with the high quality of our products and services and that our products are attractive and competitive on the market. The activities are carried out with respect for the environment and in a continuous effort to limit emissions to water, soil and air. We strive to maintain our image as a reliable and trustworthy partner. In carrying out our activities, we strive to do so in a manner that is safe for our employees and other individuals operating or staying on or around our premises.
The above-mentioned activities are reflected both in the company’s social and business mission and in the Quality, Environmental and OHS Policy. This mission is pursued, inter alia, through the implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System consisting of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001, the Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001 and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in line with ISO 45001.
These systems comply with international management standards and guide the Company’s everyday activities both in terms of the high quality of the products offered and professional Customer service and in terms of raising awareness of safety, health protection and respect for and protection of the environment.
The current Integrated Management System at ORLEN Południe S.A. was established on the basis of systems implemented and maintained in the Corporate Groups of:
- Rafineria Trzebinia S.A: Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Occupational Health and Safety Management System (PN-N 18001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001),
- Rafineria Nafty Jedlicze S.A.: Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PN-N 18001).
In March 2015, a certification audit was carried out for the new entity – ORLEN Południe S.A. (merger in January 2015 between Rafineria Trzebinia S.A. as the acquiring company and Rafineria Nafty Jedlicze S.A. as the acquired company, with simultaneous change of the name Rafineria Trzebinia S.A. to ORLEN Południe S.A. The consolidation activities also covered Fabryka Parafin Naftowax Sp. z o.o. and Zakładowa Straż Pożarna Sp. z o.o., which were merged with Rafineria Trzebinia S.A.).
As a result of the audit, a certificate was issued confirming the compliance of the company’s activities with the requirements of individual standards.
In 2015, the Company took over the area of asphalt production from ORLEN Asfalt sp. z o.o. The existing Integrated Management System documentation needed to be updated to accommodate for the new area and the existing Plant Production Control system for the area. Certification for the new area was carried out during the first inspection visit in February 2016.
The inspection visit confirmed the compliance of the company’s activities with the requirements of individual standards and it was recommended that the scope of certification be extended to cover asphalt production. The extended-scope certificate was valid until 19 April 2018.
In addition, as part of sustainable development, the area of biofuels and biocomponents is covered by:
- the ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) EU system since 2011,
- the KZR INIG system operated by the Oil and Gas Institute since 2014.
System re-certification is carried out annually according to the dates specified in the certificates (with continuity maintained).
In 2017, work began on aligning the existing management system with the requirements of the new ISO standards. Certification of the Integrated Management System, taking into account the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and PN-N 18001:2004, was carried out in March 2018. The audit team confirmed compliance of the company’s activities with the requirements of the above-mentioned standards. The certificate received was valid until 19 April 2021.
In 2020, implementation work began on aligning operations with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018-06 Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements with guidance. Integrated Management System certification audit (quality, environment, OHS – taking into account the requirements of the new standard).
Certification for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and PN-N -18001:2004 took place in March 2021. The audit confirmed compliance of the company’s activities with the requirements of the above-mentioned standards. The certificate received is accredited by Poland and is valid:
- until 19 April 2024 in the scope of the ISO standards,
- until 30 September 2021 in the scope of PN-N 18001.
